A single-page way to see where strategy, content, design, distribution and operations connect — and where they quietly don't.
Most growth problems aren't missing-piece problems. They're connection problems. The content is fine. The website is fine. The ads are fine. But nothing hands off to anything else, so the business runs five disconnected initiatives instead of one system.
The canvas is deliberately boring: six boxes — Strategy, Content, Design, Technology, Distribution, Operations — and arrows between the ones that actually talk to each other today.
Draw it honestly and most founders find the same thing: Distribution has no arrow back into Strategy. Content gets made without Design's input. Operations never sees what Distribution promised. Each box works. The system doesn't.
The fix is rarely 'add a box.' It's almost always 'build the missing connection' — a monthly review where distribution data actually changes the content plan, a brief that design and content agree on before either starts.
Run this exercise honestly before hiring anyone to fill a box. Most of the time, the constraint isn't a missing capability. It's a missing handoff.
If this hit close to home, that's worth an actual conversation, not another article.
